Wild Animal Welfare

Wild bird

Wild animal welfare is usually affected directly and indirectly by various human interventions such as hunting, use of animals in field research, the removal of habitat, and the effects of pollution.

Humans should hence be considered responsible for the welfare of wild animals and this responsibility is seriously pursued at animal welfare league where we undertake relevant research to understand the welfare situation of the animals in the wild.

Our focus is to identify areas where negative human impacts on wild animal welfare have not been identified or fully appreciated and to seek solutions. We do this in collaboration with the relevant wildlife management organizations in the country.
